Diversity has a firm place at REWE Group – not just as a value, but as part of the corporate culture: We cultivate a culture in which openness, diversity and mutual respect are a matter of course. The workplace should be a place of community for all of us – an environment in which diversity is not just written on paper, but can be felt in our daily interactions,
emphasizes Daniela Büchel, Head of HR & Sustainability at REWE Group.
Back in 2017, REWE Group signed the Charter of Diversity committed to strengthening a non-discriminatory working environment. An important part of this commitment is the LGBTQIA+ network DITO, which is committed to promoting greater tolerance and acceptance within the company. DITO supports internal awareness-raising processes, organizes events such as the Come-Together Cup, a soccer festival of diversity, and is regularly represented at events to promote diversity and inclusion. Since 2015, REWE Group has had a presence at Cologne’s Christopher Street Day (CSD), and in 2025 for the third time as the main sponsor of the ColognePride. The company also supports similar initiatives in cities such as Hamburg, Berlin and Frankfurt.
