The event was organized by REWE store owner Viet Nguyen Duc in collaboration with the Reinickendorf District Sports Association and Special Olympics Germany in Berlin. The retailer emphasizes: Sports bring people together. That’s exactly why this festival fits in so well here. With our stores, we’re part of the neighborhood. And as REWE employees, we’re proud to live out the values that the Family Sports Festival promotes and to support inclusion efforts.

About 1,500 people arrived at the grounds on Reginhardstraße and at the Gustav-Freytag High School. Right in the middle of it all was the REWE Inclusion Mobile, where visitors could try out various sports.
The festival received active support from the trainees in Sales Region 2. They provided information about the apprenticeship program at the REWE booth and helped out at the food stands. The store will donate the approximately 700 euros in proceeds to two nonprofit organizations.
