Cologne/Frankfurt, 25 May 2022. Aldiana, the premium provider for resort holidays, is wholly owned by DER Touristik Group: following antitrust approval, the acquisition of the premium resort brand has now been successfully completed. The purchase agreement signed in late March was legally executed on 24 May 2022. This meansthe 50 percent shares held by LMEY (Zug in Switzerland) in Aldiana Holding GmbH (Frankfurt) were transferred to DER Touristik Hotels & Resorts GmbH (Cologne).

With the acquisition of Aldiana, DER Touristik consolidates its Group-owned hotel portfolio. We’re delighted that with this step we fully integrate Aldiana, as an absolute premium brand, in our portfolio. This is a further milestone for our growth strategy in the hotel business, as emphasised by Sören Hartmann, CEO DER Touristik Group. Over the coming months, the aim is to further strengthen Aldiana’s brand profile and to develop the portfolio of resorts to a high standard of quality. Especially in the segment for premium resort holidays, we see a great deal of potential for growth, which we would like to leverage, as underscored by Georg Schmickler, CEO DER Touristik Group Hotel Division. There’s not only a boom in demand for travel –the need for more exclusive travel is also on the rise, and so premium holidays are clearly in trend.”
