A treasure trove and social hub for wine lovers
The renowned Cologne wine cellar is not only one of Germany’s largest historic vaulted wine cellars, but also a multi-award-winning wine merchant – most recently named ‘Wine Merchant of the Year 2025’.
At a depth of 13 metres, some 4,500 different wines from over 800 vineyards around the world are stored across 2,500 square metres. The sommeliers offer expert advice, provide background information on wines, vineyards and the wine cellar, and confidently guide guests through the diverse range. In addition, they host the regular tasting series Stand-Up Tastings, Taste & Talk and Taste & Learn in a unique setting.
The Kölner Weinkeller was built in 1937 by Cornelius Stüssgen. It has been part of the REWE Group since the mid-1980s.
