BILLA Reisen – the online travel booking platform covering worldwide travel of all sorts
As a tour operator and direct marketer (billareisen.at), BILLA Reisen is part of DERTOUR Austria GmbH, one of the largest travel companies on the Austrian market.
Founded in 1998 as ITS Billa Reisen, the company was a pioneer in the tourism industry as a direct marketer. Today, the BILLA Reisen brand operates as a tour operator with a booking portal (billareisen.at) and offers worldwide package and modular holidays, hotels and flights, as well as round trips, cruises, events and city breaks.
The focus is on mid-range hotels and family holidays. The strongest destinations are those around the Mediterranean, traditionally Greece and Spain – the first charter flights to Crete and Mallorca took off in 1999. Long-haul destinations such as the Maldives, Mauritius, Mexico and the Dominican Republic are very popular with BILLA travellers. Billareisen.at offers deals from the brands BILLA Reisen, DERTOUR, Meiers Weltreisen and TRANSAIR, all of which are part of the REWE Group.
BILLA Reisen holidays can only be booked online or via the in-house call centre (01 580 99 2400), enabling personalised support, transparent processes and direct service from a single source. Bookings cannot be made through travel agencies.
