Cologne, December 15, 2025. <\/span><\/b> REWE is taking another consistent step in its sustainability strategy: the company plans to further expand its association-certified organic range together with Bioland, Germany’s largest organic farming association.<\/span><\/b> The aim is to offer customers even more high-quality organic products from German, and ideally even regional, sources in future – especially fresh foods such as fruit, vegetables, milk and dairy products. The cooperation complements the long-standing collaboration with Naturland and membership of Demeter and underlines REWE’s claim to consistently promote ecological responsibility in retail.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The new partnership expands the range of association-certified organic products and creates short distances from the farm to the approximately 3,800 stores. With Bioland as a partner, we can offer our customers in all regions of Germany even more high-quality, local organic products that meet the highest standards,<\/q> emphasizes <\/span>Daniel Kniel<\/span><\/b>, Managing Director Goods Full-range at REWE Group<\/span>.<\/span><\/b> For us, this collaboration is an important milestone on the way to even more ecological responsibility, regionality and animal welfare. Together with Bioland, our long-standing partner Naturland and, since 2020, Demeter, we want to actively shape the future of agriculture and set new standards for responsible action in the food retail sector.<\/q> <\/span><\/p>\n

A far-sighted agriculture and food industry lies in stable, long-term partnerships that promote organic farming, secure regional value creation and offer consumers high-quality organic food from their home region. With REWE, we have a partner at our side who shares these goals and wants to actively promote them with us. Our cooperation is therefore a strong signal. REWE is very experienced nationwide with fresh and regional product ranges and is also aware of its responsibility for our livelihoods. We would now like to expand this together. Bioland brings with it a network of around 9,000 farms that work according to the association’s strict guidelines.
