They are all united by a common foundation of values that is deeply rooted in REWE Group’s cooperative tradition. Day after day, they continue to write the history of REWE Group together, each adding their own personal touch.<\/p>\n

Within the Group, the REWE stores in particular are known for their cooperative organization, but PENNY also lives the cooperative values with great success. Stefan G\u00f6rgens, Divisional Director of PENNY Germany, explains to us why cohesion within the cooperative has played a key role in shaping PENNY.<\/p>\n

With around 2,130 stores in Germany, PENNY is firmly anchored in the heart of life – among its employees as well as its customers in the neighborhood. But the discounter is not only successful nationally. PENNY International has been represented as a discounter on a European level for over 25 years.<\/p>\n

PENNY faced such a challenge in 2010. But with the cooperative behind them, they managed to get back on the road to success.
