Five-year contract for Lionel Souque - Contract extension to mid-2022 for Sören Hartmann

Cologne. The Supervisory Board of REWE ZENTRALFINANZ eG has prematurely extended the Management Board contracts of CEO Lionel Souque (47) and Sören Hartmann (55), Head of Travel and Tourism.

Lionel Souque’s new contract as CEO of REWE Group will take effect on 1 January 2019 and has a five-year term.

Sören Hartmann, who has headed Travel and Tourism at REWE Group since 1 July 2017, will also receive a new contract effective 1 January 2019. This 3.5-year contract will run through 30 June 2022.

Last December, the Supervisory Board of REWE ZENTRALFINANZ eG extended the contracts of Deputy CEO Jan Kunath (53) and CFO Dr Christian Mielsch (56) through the end of 2022.

Erich Stockhausen, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of REWE Group, said: “The Management Board team of REWE Group has the best-possible qualifications to tackle the tasks that lie ahead of us. I am really pleased that Lionel Souque and Sören Hartmann can now continue their successful work. In taking these decisions, we have laid a strong foundation for the continued growth of our cooperative business group.”
