Apart from three course phases during the year, Fit.Netz Cologne has been offering a summer holiday programme for some years now and registers more than 1,000 occupied course places. In addition to classic health promotion offers as set out in Section 20 German Social Code V (SGB V), these programmes also comprise further offers covering the areas of fitness, nutrition and relaxation which “do employees good” in terms of their working activities.
Moreover, the health management offers its employees the opportunity to promote their own health by participating in the Cologne Marathon along with the offer of a health check and individual support and REWE Group thus makes for one of the largest running groups of the event. The positive physical and psychological effects of the project on the state of health have also been proven by the German Sport University Cologne in the context of a master's thesis in 2014.
With Fit.Netz travels, REWE Group supports employees who wish to promote their own health while on holiday by taking prevention courses. This creates an incentive for encouraging health-oriented behaviour at home and at the workplace.
Today, the “Fit.Netz” label is not only an integral part in Cologne, but also in the individual regions of REWE Group as an occupational health management brand and established as a synonym for becoming active and engaging in sports to promote one’s own health.
