Blue Angel

The Blue Angel is the first and best-known eco-label in the world. The Blue Angel is only awarded to products and services which are less harmful to humans and environment and use resources more sparingly.


 "UTZ Certified" is a programme and quality seal for sustainable coffee, tea and cacao cultivation. More sustainable cultivation helps farmers, workers and their families to improve their livelihood whilst contributing to the conservation of natural resources.


The Fairtrade seal is an independent controlled product seal for fair trade. It focuses primarily on people in the south, and particularly sponsors small farmers and workers in developing countries and improves their position on the world market. 

Rainforest Alliance

The "Rainforest Alliance" is an internationally recognised, independent environmental organisation dedicated to protecting sensitive eco-systems and promoting sustainable business practice of land areas. The seal stands for ecologically compatible agriculture and socially responsible entrepreneurial action.


The FSC® seal (Forest Stewardship council) stands for responsible forestry. The seal is awarded to wood and paper products which are produced from raw materials in compliance with independently tested ecological and social standards.


The PEFC label (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes) stands for sustainable forestry. Wood and timber products with the PEFC label are known to originate from ecologically, economically and socially sustainable forestry.


The MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) is an independent and not-profit organisation that rewards wild caught fish and seafood from sustainable fisheries with the sustainability seal. The certified fisheries ensure that sufficient fish will be available in the future, marine habitats are preserved and endangered species are protected.


The ASC (Aquaculture Stewardship Council) is an independent and not-profit organisation that rewards responsibly farmed fish and seafood with a quality mark.   


Naturland farmers and processors are certified by one of the major organic associations and they are part of a network which interlinks growers, processors and traders in all parts of the world. No matter what raw goods they cultivate, products they manufacture, goods they buy: wherever in the world they are, they comply with identical stringent standards which are recognised all over the world, standards which are much higher than those set by the EU eco standard.

Friend of the Sea

The "Friend of the Sea" seal is an internationally recognised quality seal for the labelling of products which come from sustainable fishery and aquaculture.

Bio Siegel

In Germany, products and food are labelled with the eco-seal that have been produced and certified for organic cultivation pursuant to EU regulations. The eco-seal was launched in 2001 and stands for organic production and animal welfare just like the EU eco-seal. The popular German eco-seal can still be used for organic products but is no longer required by law.

Bio (EU)

The EU eco-seal became mandatory for organic food in July 2012. The EU eco-seal asserts that the requirements of the EU Organic Regulation for the production and certification of products have been satisfied. Only products featuring the seal may be labelled as ‘organic’.


The textile seal "Global Organic Textile Standard" (GOTS) reveals that no harmful chemicals have been used in fibre processing and textile manufacture of garments from certified organic fibres (e.g. cotton, linen, silk) in the production and along the entire production chain. The aim of GOTS is to define a worldwide recognised standard for the processing of textiles which classifies the entire life cycle of the product in accordance with ecologically and socially aspects that are certified by independed bodies.


NATRUE is an independent seal which exclusively distinguishes nature cosmetic products which meet highest requirements in terms of naturalness, quality, authenticity and transparency.


The Association of Industries and Trading Firms for pharmaceuticals, health care products, food supplements and cosmetics (BDIH e.V.) is a non-profit organisation for producers and distributors established in 1951. The BDIH seal launched in 2001 stands for certified natural cosmetics.


The international association for Soaps, Detergents and Maintenance Products (A.I.S.E) awards sustainable products of this industry.
