Alone on the back of its tradition as a cooperative, the REWE Group feels obligated to assume social responsibility. We support projects and initiatives that are related to our core business at both a national and international level. Examples of this include the Power Pack, which provides children with a healthy breakfast, the Consumer Education Alliance, or the implementation of a Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children in the tourism industry.
We like to get involved.
The REWE Group is one of the greatest supporters of local food bank initiatives and the "Deutschland rundet auf" campaign, in which customers are encouraged to donate by rounding up the amounts of their grocery bill. We place particular value in the virtues of healthy eating and exercise.
Healthy eating and exercise are child's play!
Children who feel good physically are much more motivated to learn. Together with working groups, associations, teachers, educators, social workers and parents, the REWE Group makes sure that sport can be fun and that children in schools and day-care centres can eat healthily.
Raising awareness for sustainability.
Each week, the REWE Group welcomes around 70 million customers to its retail outlets. We see this as an opportunity to raise awareness among as many people as possible of the need to maintain a more sustainable lifestyle, because even if the topic of sustainability has become a highly familiar one, it can hardly be claimed that everyone is aware of what can be specifically done.
Record revenue and result: REWE Group increases revenue by 5 per cent* to 54 billion euros
