The Group Legal department

REWE Group is an extremely complex, constantly changing and developing entity under corporate law. That's how we describe it in REWE Group Legal department. Here, all distribution chains will be counselled on questions regarding contractual and general commercial law and receive specialised support. Of course, our legal experts also support the development of our new business segments, with partnerships and projects – e.g. by analysing possible risks and framework conditions that need to be met.

As an employee in the Legal department, you will be charged with:

  • Advising and making recommendations regarding contract law, commercial law, competition law and antitrust law
  • Guaranteeing behaviour that is market compliant and conforms with the law
  • Providing legal support for the development of new business segments
  • Following transactions (mergers & acquisitions) from start to finish
  • Coordinating with other colleagues working abroad
  • Negotiating contracts and settling disputes
  • Commissioning external partner law firms
