Cover letter and CV: Show us what you’ve got!

Your application provides us with our first impression of you. This is your chance to tell us more about yourself and your interest in working at the REWE Group.

  • Use a standard format and an easy-to-read font, such as Arial.
  • Try to limit your CV to one or two pages.
  • Go into depth in your cover letter. Provide more information about one or two key points from your CV.
  • If you have gaps in your CV, explain them to us.
  • Tailor your cover letter to the position for which you are applying.
  • Limit yourself to relevant information: add personal interests and milestones that tell us something about you and your interest in the position.
  • Be sure to use proper spelling, grammar and formatting in your documents. Review your information at least twice in order to be sure that your cover letter and CV are up to date and accurate.
  • Get a second opinion: ask a friend or family member to read your documents with a critical eye.
Interview: what should I know?

Congratulations! You have been invited for an interview with us and we look forward to meeting you in person. Face-to-face interviews of course differ from department to department. The following tips apply across the board, however:

  • Make sure you know how to find us and where to park beforehand so you can arrive on time and relaxed for your interview.
  • Ask for information about the interview process and your interviewers in advance from the HR department and/or area you are applying to.
  • Prepare for your interview. Research the REWE Group and the position you are applying for beforehand.
  • Go into the interview with a positive and confident attitude. See yourself as an equal participant in a meeting.
  • Be open and honest during the interview. You will, of course, want to show your best side. But try to be yourself and act as natural as possible.
  • Take advantage of the interview time to clarify any questions you have and to demonstrate your enthusiasm for the desired position.
