Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism

The Travel and Tourism Division of REWE Group is deeply committed to sheltering children from sexual abuse.

The internationally established "Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism" – "the Code" in short – was signed by the German Travel and Tourism Association on behalf of all its members. REWE Touristik actively applies the Code in all its activities and is actively involved in the UNICEF-sponsored international organisation "The Code".

In order to prevent from the very beginning the sort of conditions which force children into prostitution, poor countries have to be able to develop in a way that enables them to provide stable social, cultural and economic conditions. The environmentally-friendly and socially-acceptable development of travel and tourism is a way of achieving this goal, and this is why REWE Group's Travel and Tourism division is promoting sustainable tourism.
