Company kindergarten REWE International AG - A place for children

The life of professionally active parents revolves around the question: Who will take care of our smallest family members? Company kindergartens offer relief.

Together with the association "kindercompany", REWE International AG opened its first company kindergarten in September 2008. Space is provided for 55 children from one to six years of age in the modern day-care facility. Its unique offer: the opening hours are tailored to the needs of employees in the retail business. Starting on Monday mornings at 6:30 a.m., parents can bring in their children. The company kindergarten doesn't close until 8 p.m. REWE International AG assumes 25 per cent of the costs incurred for the day-care spot. With the pilot project that, if successful, will be expanded, the company assists its employees in combining family and their career. The goal is to bring about a balance between work and leisure time.
