Sales Launch: Laviva to be Out for Sale

REWE Group women's magazine out for sale from 1 October – Unique combination of lifestyle magazine and store coupons for 80 cents


Tomorrow it will be launched: More lifestyle, more fun, more reader advantages, and all of this for less money. This is the claim that Cologne-based REWE Group makes as the publisher of the new women's magazine under the title "Laviva" (www.laviva.com). It will be on sale in an exclusive presentation at the check-out aisles of the 5,500 stores of the leading trading and travel group (REWE, toom, Penny, toom Baumarkt DIY, ProMarkt). Moreover it will be available at all railway stations and airports throughout Germany. The initial print run will comprise 700,000 copies.

Laviva (www.laviva.com) is a novelty in Germany for two reasons: For the first time a retail company publishes a monthly and complete women’s magazine. Moreover, the magazine, which will go on sale for only 80 cents, offers a considerable added value in the form of its product coupons that allow the magazine's readers to receive "immediate benefits". A wide variety of products is offered according to the principle "buy one, get one free". If a customer buys a product offered on the coupons he or she will get one piece of the same product for free upon redeeming the coupon.

The main focus of the contents of this roughly 100-page, professionally designed magazine, which is aimed not exclusively at women between the ages of the late 20s to the late 50s, is chosen by the independent editors of the Bertelsmann subsidiary "medienfabrik", Gütersloh, on the subjects of dining and drinking, fashion and beauty, travel, home and living. Along with money-saving and practical tips for cooking and diet, home and garden, fashion, beauty, travel and even quite personal lifestyle choices, "Laviva" will entertain female and male readers alike with interesting interviews and lifestyle stories.
