Supermarkets and DIY stores offer one of the cheapest pre-pay rates on the market

Call any German fixed-line phone number for only 15 cents per minute with ja!mobil


With the ja!mobil pre-pay mobile discount rate, over 3,000 REWE supermarkets, toom hypermarkets and toom DIY stores are offering one of the cheapest pre-pay wireless rates in German food retailing. The per minute prices for pure voice and text messaging services are 5 cents for connections within the ja!mobil network (charged for a minimum of one initial minute and billed per second afterwards). Calls to any German fixed-line number are charged 15 cents per minute (initial minute minimum at full charge plus per second billing afterwards). Text messages cost 15 cents, or only 5 cents to another ja!mobile number.

The cards are to go on sale throughout Germany on Monday (January 15) at a price of 14.95 euros. The price includes a starting balance of 5 euros, which - once activated - is good for 365 days. The ja!mobil cards can also be reloaded with balances of 15, 30 and 50 euros at the checkout at each sales outlet. The stores will support the launch with a sim-lock mobile phone at an appealing price.

As with the "PENNY Mobil" discount rate begun last May, simply Communication GmbH in Maintal will also serve as the strategic partner for the ja!moblil mobile phone offer. Following the successful launch of "PENNY Mobil", simply Communication GmbH is thus providing REWE Group an additional platform for a high-volume mobile phone product. "PENNY Mobil" has repeatedly won product test competitions in past months, also including tests performed by the consumer product rating agency Stiftung Warentest. Ja!mobil and PENNY Mobile are identical in terms of their services and product offerings. The previous pre-pay and post-pay rates under REWE and REWECOM are to be replaced by ja!mobil, but the former will still be fully honoured and work under their prior terms.
