Hubert Schumacher new Director Food 1 in Strategic Purchasing


The Management Board of REWE Group has accepted the request of René Plasman, Director Food 1 in Strategic Purchasing of REWE Group, to leave the company, effective as of 30 September 2009. Plasman will be going abroad for personal reasons to take on new professional work there.

REWE Group Management Board member Manfred Esser regrets Plasman's leaving the company and thanked him for the work he has done in the past years. At the same time, he emphasized the departing director's great service in the development of Strategic Purchasing.

Plasman's successor in the position Director Food 1 in Strategic Purchasing, effective as of 1 October, will be Hubert Schumacher. He has previously been a member of the management team of toom Verbrauchermarkt, where he was responsible for the division "Merchandise" ("Ware").
