The Group divisions such as Strategic Purchasing, HR and HR Development, Business Administration or Corporate Communications work at the headquarters in Cologne.

The challenge facing the division HR Development has two aspects. On the one hand, advanced training topics must be developed in such a way that they simultaneously address the most diverse business units. On the other hand, we shape our HR development in line with the individual needs of our employees.

As a consequence, advanced training at the headquarters in Cologne is multifaceted and encompasses, among others, the following services:

• Professional and management programmes such as the management development programme or the programme for purchasing officers
• Seminar catalogues containing various courses for all of the business units. Examples include topics such as project management, professional leadership management, seminars related to communications, work-life balance
• Development of individual development plans. They are prepared in consultation with the specific employee and manager
• Attendance at seminars which are not offered as part of the standard programme because they focus too specifically on certain areas
• More advanced courses focusing on areas required for the particular business units
